WAWF Processing Delay

Published / by wawfBlogAdmin / Leave a Comment

[8/1/19 – 1150PT] WAWF appears to be experiencing a service interruption. The DLA GEX is processing EDI from Mil-Pac VAN users, but it has received responses on just a handful.

[8/1/19 – 1505PT] DLA EDI reports that they have been researching the issue and that “one of our systems has a severe performance issue and we’re working it. These backlogs should be clearing tonight.”

Mil-Pac will update this entry should DLA provide further information.

Update Aug 6, 2018 – 6:20 am (PST): WAWF administrators report that steps are being taken to restore access to DAAS to allow flow of RFID Combos and UDF Pack Updates to restart. No ETA has been given. All other WAWF and UID Registry transactions remain unaffected.

Update Aug 3, 2018 – 2pm (PST): DISA has identified the problem and is working to restore the connection to DAAS for Mil-Pac VAN users to submit RFID Combos and UDF Pack Updates. No ETA has been given. All other WAWF and UID Registry transactions remain unaffected.

Aug 2, 2018: WAWF appears to have mistakenly removed its channel receiving UDF/FTP transactions from the Mil-Pac VAN. This effects all RFID Combos and UDF RFID Pack Updates posted to the Mil-Pac VAN after 9am (PST) on July 30. Receiving Reports, Reparable Receiving Reports, Invoices, Cost Vouchers, Progress Billings, and UID Registry transactions are unaffected.

We are working with DISA (WAWF) and DAAS to get the channel restored. Transactions may still be submitted to the Mil-Pac VAN and will be held by DAAS (the DOD’s VAN) for processing as soon as the channel is restored.

Please send an email to support@milpac.com if you wish to be notified when this situation is resolved or have other concerns.

Reparable Receiving Report (RRR) Failure in WAWF 5.12.0

Published / by wawfBlogAdmin / Leave a Comment

The deployment of WAWF 5.12.0 on July 14-15 included an unannounced and undocumented change to the EDI requirements which is causing GFP RRR transactions to fail, system-wide. The error manifests itself in the following error report in WAWF Import Status emails:

ERROR: Property Receiver is a mandatory field.

Affected users should forward any WAWF Import Status emails that include such an error to Mil-Pac Technical Support. We are hand-patching X12-856 Reparable Receiving Reports and X12-857 Reparable Combos and resubmitting to WAWF. Reparable UDF Combos (Combos with RFID) require technical information not yet provided by the Government.

Affected users that have sent in requests for corrections and/or upgrade will be notified when the patch becomes available.
